Meet Our Staff
Eric Booma is a native of Marblehead, Massachusetts. He now resides in Herndon, VA with his wife and two sons. A plumber for 26 years, he is now Vice President, and co-owner of LIberty Plumbing. He provides the company with the advantage of having a very experienced operator of our Sewer Camera, a service not all Plumbing companies offer. When he is not working, you will most likely find him working in his rose garden.
John Paul Sfreddo is a lifelong resident of Manassas, VA. President, and co-owner of Liberty Plumbing, he has 21 years of experience in the plumbing industry. He lives with his wife, son and daughter in Manassas. He is an avid Boston Red Sox fan, but follows all sports closely. He tends to be the “go-to” guy for all the employees. Regardless of what you need done or when, JP is going to be willing to help you through the job.
Leroy Chatman, our resident Southerner, is originally from South Carolina where he grew up helping his father with plumbing and electrical jobs. He has been a plumber ever since. He and his wife live in Woodbridge, VA and have one son and one daughter. Our residential customers are loyal to Leroy and will wait, when necessary, to get on Leroy’s schedule. His knowledge is invaluable to the company, and the other plumbers often go to him for advice on difficult plumbing situations.
Franklin Herrera was raised in El Salvador. If you need to contact us and you would like someone that speaks Spanish to help you, Franklin can help you. When he was 18 years old he came to the US. He has 11 years of experience as a plumber, and lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife, son and daughter. He enjoys feeding us wonderful breakfast burritos on occasion and may have a bit of a sweet tooth. He could easily be voted the most likely to hit the candy jar kept in the office.
Bryce Nicola, a resident of Alexandria, grew up in Arizona. Since completing his time as a Marine in the armed forces, he has spent the last 14 years as a plumber. When not on the job, Bryce is more than likely cruising the road on his Harley with his bike club.
Vinny Sfreddo is one of the newest members of our staff, Vinny, the son of John Paul, is currently working as a plumber’s helper and learning the trade through experience. He lives with his family in Manassas, VA, is single, and is still deciding his ultimate career goals. At this time he is happy to learn all he can while helping the plumbers on the job.
Josh Shevitz is another lifetime resident of Manassas, Virginia. Josh and his wife live in Manassas with their young son. Josh came to the company as a plumber’s helper and decided that it was the right career for him. He made the leap from helper to plumber and now has 7 years of experience as a plumber. He is a sports fan of epic proportions, and though it gets him a lot of grief at the office, is also a diehard Eagles fan.
Don Keney recently returned to the company with his 24 years of experience as a plumber. He worked for the company in years gone by, and we are thrilled to have lured him back to our side. Another local boy, he grew up and still resides in Herndon. Perhaps the only thing that pre-empts his X-box when he is not at work are the little ones that call him “Pop”. He has two children, and even more fun, two grandchildren that he adores. Don is a natural born storyteller and he regularly keeps us laughing with stories of their exploits.
Jeff Jones has been around the area as a Master Plumber for almost 30 years. He is our resident specialist on things like water heaters and some of the more complex plumbing jobs and makes himself available to the mechanics in an effort to assist them in coming up with the best solutions to some of your plumbing needs. He does our estimating and quoting of large jobs as well. After serving three years in the United States Army as a Radar Technician, he became a plumber in 1987. When not working, Jeff is happiest when fishing off a pier somewhere. He lives in Warrenton.
Robert Robinson is our newest helper. He joins us with the intention of learning all about the plumbing field by working side by side with our mechanics as an assistant. He was born in Richmond but grew up in the Manassas, VA area. He enjoys working out and playing basketball in spare time. He has been known to enjoy a bit of fishing, as well. In his words, Robert “Lives by the Grace of God”. He is a great addition to our staff and we have high hopes for him in the future as he learns all there is to know about plumbing.
Meet our dispatcher, Melissa Hilty. She is the voice on the other end of the phone when you contact our office. Melissa will help to schedule your appointment at a time that makes life as easy as possible for you. Born in San Diego, CA she now resides in Leesburg with her daughter. Although this is her first job as a dispatcher, she did similar work at her last place of employment and has caught on very quickly to our system here at Liberty. She spends her fun time racing 4-wheelers, playing video games and camping.
We want to welcome Scott Combs. Scott has been a plumber for almost 20 years so comes to us with a wealth of knowledge, and as you can see, an ever present smile. His family, which includes his wife and three teenage boys, live in Manassas. He is always happy to take on any job day or night for Liberty, but is just as happy to spend time doing just about anything outside. He is an avid hunter, fisherman, camper, etc.
BT Tinsley has joined our staff recently, but many of us have worked with BT in earlier years. Having BT come to work here was like getting a big present. He is one of the most knowledgeable plumbers in the area. He was born in Rock Hill, SC but was raised in Florida. He moved to Virginia in 1975 and has been a Plumber since 1986. BT likes to fish and travel. He and his wife of 36 years, Debbi, live in Falls Church.
